Are you ready to rethink your introductory Earth or physical science course to focus on actively engaging students in investigations and productive discussions? In this webinar, you will hear from people who did just that: you'll learn about and explore new materials developed, tested, and refined by instructors as part of the Teaching with Investigation and Design in Science (TIDeS) project. Leaders will share their experiences transforming introductory courses in a variety of settings, including large lecture courses, two-year colleges, traditional lecture-lab courses, and lecture-only courses.
Webinar goals
By the end of this webinar, you will:
- Become familiar with the TIDeS project, our guiding principles, and approach to teaching
- Explore the new TIDeS materials for teaching Earth and physical science
- Engage with instructors teaching in a similar setting to discuss strategies for change

Duration: 1 hour
Format: Presentations will take place through a Zoom Meeting screen-sharing session. The webinar will be recorded.
