NAGT Program Fund
Donations to the NAGT Program Fund are used to support NAGT programs and operations in the budget year in which the donations are received. Making a donation to the NAGT Program Fund allows us the greatest flexibility to put your dollars to work.
Professional Development Fund
Donations to this fund are used to support professional development activities, including websites for educators, in the budget year in which the donations are received.
Student Academic Career Prep Fund
This fund, created in 2019 by two generous donors, works to support students at the Earth Educators' Rendezvous. Monies from the fund support 2-days of registration for students attending the Preparing for an Academic Career workshop. To receive the grant, recipients must attend all three days of the workshop, give a presentation after the workshop at the home institution and report on that activity to NAGT.
Minority Support Fund
Donations to the fund are used to support Field Camp Scholarships for minority students. For more information, see the program page (opens in a new window)
Gary Fuis and Stacey Andrews Scholarship Endowed Fund
Donations to this endowed fund support intern participation in the NAGT/USGS Cooperative Summer Fellowship Program. Use of funds under this endowment may serve to cover intern expenses such as travel to and from the site of the internship and other expenses that encourage and support participation in the program. Field Course Scholarship Fund
Donations to this fund are used to support the NAGT Field Scholarship Program in the budget year in which the donations are received. For more information, see the program page (opens in a new window)
Dorothy Lalonde Stout Fund
This fund, established in 2001 by her daughters, honors Dorothy "Dottie" Lalonde Stout and recognizes her dedication to the improvement of earth science education at every level. Donations to the fund support grants to K-12 and community college instructors attending classes or workshops, professional scientific or science education meetings, and participation in earth science field trips, as well as for the purchase of classroom materials. NAGT GER Division Emerging GER Scholars Fund
Monies donated to this fund will support the NAGT GER Division Emerging GER Scholars Award. This award is intended to recognize promising graduate students pursing a Master's or Ph.D. in the field of geoscience education research, and to provide financial support for personal and professional expenses to broaden the set of opportunities available to those scholars. NAGT TED Division Earth Science Teacher Leader Fund
Monies donated to this fund will support the NAGT TED Division Earth Science Teacher Leader Award. This award recognizes K-12 geoscience teachers who distinguish themselves through service to their professional community, distinction in their classroom, and dedication to informal geoscience opportunities or field work for their students, based on the TED Earth Science Teacher Leader Standards. Making a Lasting Contribution to NAGT
NAGT has established a number of endowed funds that provide long-term support to designated activities and programs of the Association. A donation to one of these funds builds the endowment principal and generates additional interest income. Income distributions from these funds are governed by the NAGT's Endowment Policy (opens in a new window)
NAGT Endowment
Income from the NAGT Endowment is used to support Association programs and the ongoing operating expenses of the Association. The NAGT Endowment was established by the Executive Committee in 2008.

Honors and Awards Fund
The Honors and Awards Fund was established in 1978 through a generous donation made by one of the founders of the Association. Donations to this fund help cover expenses incurred in presenting the Neil A. Miner Awards as well as other honors and awards bestowed by the Association. Leland Horberg Memorial Endowed Fund
The Leland Horberg Memorial Fund was established by friends of Professor Horberg, longtime professor of geology at Augustana College, at the time of his death in August 1955. Donations to the fund support Association programs designed to improve the teaching of the Earth sciences. Since 1990, donations to the fund have also helped support the Association's Field Camp Scholarship program.
Maurice B. Rosalsky Endowed Fund
The Rosalsky Fund was established in 1970 as a tribute to Maurice B. Rosalsky for his many years of dedication and service to the Association, including sixteen years as National Secretary and Secretary-Treasurer of the Eastern Section. Donations to the fund help support a variety of Association programs. Since 1994, with the concurrence of the Rosalsky family, donations have been used to help support Field Camp Scholarships.
