Webinar Description

The K-12 Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) have created an exciting and forward-looking vision of Earth and Space Science (ESS) education. This webinar with Michael Wysession will provide an understanding of the broader priorities and intentions of the ESS portions of the NGSS, while also moving through the basic structural elements. Intended to strengthen the foundational understanding of NGSS-ESS for those who have some background already, this will also provide an introduction for those who are not familiar with the NGSS-ESS initiatives. It will be especially good preparation for those who will attend the Summit on the Implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards at the State Level (April 28 – May 1), and those who will give input into the summit through online discussions, the ongoing needs assessment surveys, and by other means.

Webinar Format

Online web presentation via Adobe Connect web conference software with questions and discussion. Participants will receive an email with instructions detailing how to log into the event after the registration period has closed. Participation requires an internet connected computer and a phone line.
