Intended Audience
Is this field trip designed for use in K12 or undergraduate education? Faculty at a professional society meeting? Teachers at a summer institute? Describe the typical participant in this experience.
Context
Please explain the context in which the field trip was conducted. What was the educational level of the participants (k12, undergrad, faculty, teachers, etc.)? How many people were involved? Is there background knowledge or experience that is necessary for the participants? Are there physical difficulty or accessibility issues that instructors and participants need to be aware of and plan for?
Possible Modifications

Examples could include things such as: teach fundamentals of petrology through regional examples, demonstrate connections between faulting and metamorphism, share professional research, or instruct participants in the use of questions on a field trip.
Design
How was the field trip designed to meet the goals that were set? What pedagogical decisions did you need to make in the design process?
