Picture3 2009 North Central Section Annual Meeting and Field Trip

Central Wyoming College, Sinks Canyon Center
Lander, WY
July 14-17, 2009

THIS MEETING HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL 2010 (July 29-31)

Come enjoy the beautiful and peaceful setting of Sinks Canyon while you meet other geoscience educators from around North America. We will share curriculum ideas and spend as much time outdoors as possible. A full-day field trip will be held on July 14th, followed by 2.5 days of meeting.

Lodging: There are residence facilities at SCC, including the option to camp. You will need to bring your own linens. If you would like your own room and/or toilet facilities, motels are available in nearby Lander at a range of styles and prices (see Lander Chamber of Commerce). If making motel reservations, do so early as this meeting is at the height of tourist season.

Transportation: Daily flights into Riverton (RIW - 35 miles north) are available. However there is no transportation into Lander available. Vans may be made available if there is enough demand. Alternately, flying into either Salt Lake City (5 hours) or Denver (7 hours) and renting a car is a scenic option for those with time.

Registration: Registration fee includes primitive (cabin) lodging, Internet access, all breakfasts and lunches and two dinners. The optional field trip fee ($75) includes transportation, breakfast, lunch and one extra night's lodging. NAGT members: $230; nonmembers $280; students $100. This workshop will be held only if a minimum of 15 is met by June 10, 2009. If the minimum is not met, the workshop will be canceled and all fees returned. Picture1
