Description

3-week summer course divided into asynchronous online portions, and a field portion. Week 1 and 3 are asynchronous online, and Week 2 takes place in the field. The course focuses on the geology, geography, and human aspects of volcanoes, with an emphasis on field studies in the central Oregon Cascades and covers the physical processes that cause volcanic activity, and an introduction to geological science.

Other Important Information

+ lodging (if applicable) during Week 2 in Bend. Lodging options durning week 2 in Bend are at OSU Cascades – for a shared dorm, $475, or $550 for single dorm room, however students are also welcome to provide their own accommodations and pay the $125 course fee (only) plus standard UO tuition and fees.
