Workshop Overview
Introduction
This workshop is designed to help educators improve their use of group projects as a tool for developing essential workforce skills in students. Participants will engage in discussions about the benefits and challenges of course-based group projects, and explore practical strategies for structuring, facilitating, and assessing them. Through hands-on activities and small-group discussions, you'll learn how to map student skill development to group projects and create an actionable plan to integrate these tools into your own teaching. By the end of the workshop, you'll have the resources and knowledge needed to effectively manage group projects, set expectations, and support students through the process—from setting up groups to handling conflict and evaluating outcomes.
