Clark Atlanta University, Sustainability & Social Justice Workshop
CAU will host leaders from InTeGrate and the National Association of Geoscience Teachers (NAGT) as part of their Traveling Workshop Program (TWP) to incorporate the use of sustainability and social justice topics in all courses. With an emphasis on cross-departmental collaboration, this 2-day workshop will provide faculty with the time and resources to develop or redesign course materials. This opportunity is available for faculty of all disciplines, including STEM, humanities, art, music, media, education, social work, and business. The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, May 23 – Friday, May 24, 2019 at CAU campus. All who are interested are encouraged to register.
Over the course of the workshop, we will engage in a series of activities that will help you think about your course from the student learning perspective. You will learn about pedagogical techniques by engaging in them, not just by hearing about them. You will leave the workshop having begun to (re)design your course and with an action plan and resources for continuing the process.
