2018 Awardee - Rachel Beane

Rachel Beane has been awarded the 2018 Neil Miner Award by the National Association of Geoscience Teachers 

Beane is the Bass Professor of Natural Sciences and the associate dean for academic affairs at Bowdoin College. There she teaches and mentors undergraduate students in geology. She has developed and led numerous NAGT and On the Cutting Edge national workshops and webinars with particular focus on support for faculty at the beginning of their careers and for enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the geosciences.
