Several NAGT Awards have impending nomination/application deadlines. All awards are open to non-members but only members can make a nomination. Members may nominate themselves for an award if they wish.

• Outstanding Earth Science Teacher Award

  Nomination Deadline - Varies by Section (March 1 - May 1)
  Awarded for exceptional contributions to the stimulation of interest in the Earth sciences at the pre-college level. Nominate the great Earth science teachers you know!
• Neil Miner Award

  Nomination Deadline - April 1
  Awarded for exceptional contributions to the stimulation of interest in the Earth sciences.
• Jim Shea Award

  Nomination Deadline - April 1
  Awarded for exceptional contributions in the form of writing and/or editing of Earth science materials that are of interest to the general public and/or teachers of Earth science.
• Dorothy Stout Professional Development Grants

  Application Deadline - April 15
  Awards made to faculty and students at two-year colleges and K-12 teachers in support of participation in professional development opportunities (workshops, classes, field trips, etc.) and the purchase of Earth science materials for classroom use.
