You are invited to submit key ideas on the utility of ICON (Integrated, Coordinated, Open Science, Networked) processes for improving Earth and Space Science education for three commentaries to be published in Earth and Space Science. Key ideas are sought for improving

• 1) the practice of geoscience education in all environments,
• 2) education research in all aspects of Earth and Space Science, and 
• 3) improving diversity, equity, inclusion and justice in and through Earth and Space Science education.

 Key ideas may address the utility of ICON processes in the past or for the future.
