Upcoming changes to NAGT membership and giving

Dear NAGT members,

As a non-profit member organization that relies on dues and donations for our operations, NAGT is always looking for ways to streamline and improve our membership and giving processes. To that end, we have contracted with SofterWare, a company that provides two integrated services that we will be using to manage new and renewing memberships and donations of all kinds: DonorPerfect and Givecloud. The Executive Office is working hard to prepare for the transition to the new system now, and we expect to begin using the new system by early August.

There is nothing you need to do at this time — your membership information will be transferred to the new system, and you will still go to the NAGT website to log in to your member portal. The look and feel of your member portal will change, and we think you will find the new features useful.

I want to assure you that the decision to make this change was not made frivolously. We explored several options, participated in demos, reviewed proposals, and carefully considered the benefits of our current system and what we could gain by moving some functions to a new system. The choice to go with DonorPerfect/Givecloud was based on the features they offer at a reasonable cost, which will allow us to gain efficiencies in our workflow and expand our fundraising capacity. We continue to partner with SERC to staff the Executive Office, support professional development, host our website, and provide access to all the great features of Serckit, including private workspaces, resource collections, and event registration. The SERC staff in the Executive Office will continue to handle customer support for membership and giving.

Look for an email in late July or early August with more information about your member portal. In the meantime, you can take a look at our updated privacy policy, which reflects the nature of our new partnership with SofterWare.
