- Explore marine diversity in the Gulf of California

What will you gain?

The EPI Teacher Fellowship was established in 2013 as a professional development program that gives a diverse range of educators an opportunity to collaborate with one another on real-world conservation projects and learn EPI's methods for teaching field science. The Fellowships are 8 days in length, with EPI funding a majority of the fellowship program costs.

On all of EPI's Professional Development programs, we teach progressive, inquiry-based methods that will allow you to introduce more exploration into your classroom while still meeting those testing requirements. Best of all, we model the methods we teach. Our programs take you into the field. You'll work with scientists and wildlife. This is your chance to explore. You'll return to the classroom with a new set of tools, ideas, and lessons that will inspire your students. All trainings are aligned with the NGSS.

Who should apply?

Formal and informal educators from any country are welcome to apply. EPI's curriculum is best suited to educators teaching science and creative writing, history, and more. The program is suited for educators at the middle school, high school or university level, and applications from these educators are strongly preferred. Applications from educators in any subject are welcome.
