Tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Environmental Sustainability Education - Bowling Green State University
published Dec 8, 2014 4:43pmThe School of Earth, Environment and Society at Bowling Green State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Environmental Sustainability Education beginning August, 2015. The school is comprised of the Departments of Environment and Sustainability, Geography, and Geology. This position's primary responsibility is to educate both the campus community and the external community about issues of sustainability. We are seeking a person with research experience and teaching interests and expertise in sustainability and/or environmental education. Applicants must have a Ph.D. from an accredited university by time of appointment. Preference will be given to applicants with at least one degree in the field of education, and one degree in environmental studies, earth sciences, environmental sustainability, sustainability education, or other related fields, and a record of scholarship.
Applicants must be committed to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses related to sustainability and environmental education, and environmental studies. Successful candidates are expected to develop a productive, externally funded, research program. Salary for the position is competitive and commensurate with peer institutions and in keeping with candidate experience and credentials. We have a well-equipped environmental science teaching lab, and are also well-equipped for acquisition of environmental field data.
