Position Summary

Provides learning activities and support that leads to student achievement of course objectives and contributes to the educational environment of the Lone Star College System and community. Responsibilities include learning facilitation, personal and professional development, and institutional and community service. Primary functions are to plan, develop, and teach courses within the curriculum in a manner that facilitates student learning, success.

Required Qualifications

Master's Degree in Geology or Earth Science, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Geology or other Earth Sciences.
Online certification or a commitment to obtain certification through LSC-Online (or equivalent) within 6 months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching in a community college or higher education.

Salary

Starting salary is commensurate with qualifications. This is a full-time 10.5-month work schedule. This position has a Spring 2013 start date.
