Assistant Professor of Geology at Mount Royal University

The Department of Earth Sciences currently offers a Bachelor of Science with a Geology Major. The department is seeking new faculty with ability to teach courses in Sedimentary Geology.

The successful applicant must have a PhD in Geology and be qualified to teach introductory geology courses and senior courses in the Bachelor of Science-Geology Major. The hiring will target individuals with the skills to create curriculum in upper level courses.

The department is seeking a faculty member whose workload will comprise teaching, research and service. Research interests in areas such as sequence stratigraphy, carbonate depositional environments, biostratigraphy or micropaleontology would be an asset.
