Seeking Geology Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at University of South Alabama

The Department of Earth Sciences at the University of South Alabama invites applications for a full-time (nine-month), tenure-track geology Assistant Professor position, starting August 15, 2024. They are seeking a qualified geoscientist to teach courses in Physical Geology, Earth History, and Sedimentology/Stratigraphy, and to participate in the capstone Field Geology summer course.

Minimum Qualifications: 

A Ph.D. in Geology or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated success in the classroom as well as the potential to recruit undergraduate geology majors and to contribute to the outgrowth of the department, college, and university.
