Geology Faculty (Tenure Track) - Highline College
published Feb 15, 2023 10:00amHighline College (HC) is seeking qualified applicants for one full-time, tenure track faculty position in the Geology department. The successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to use equity-minded approaches to teaching and learning for racially, ethnically, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse students, including designing curriculum, pedagogy, and assessments relevant to students; valuing what students already know; and empowering students to demonstrate knowledge in multiple ways as appropriate for the discipline(s) or program(s). Candidates should be able and excited to teach a range of core courses in Geology, including physical geology, geomorphology, natural disasters, environmental geology, Geology of the Pacific Northwest, geoscience field courses, and one or more courses in the instructor's area(s) of interest such as Planetary Geology, Global Climate Change, Oceanography, Environmental Science, and/or Paleontology.
