We invite applications for a 9-month non-tenure-track faculty position at the Lecturer level in Geology beginning August 1, 2023. Candidates must hold a M.S. in Geology/Earth Science or closely related discipline. Teaching experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities include teaching multiple sections of various undergraduate laboratory courses in geology, developing curriculum for the laboratory courses, serving on appropriate departmental committees and participating in departmental faculty meetings, and providing outreach to the community. The courses the applicant would be expected to teach include but are not limited to Physical Geology Laboratory, Earth and the Environment Laboratory, and Historical Geology Laboratory. Candidates should also be willing to engage in a variety of instructional modalities, including online instruction, and in assisting the UTC campus in its ability to reach additional goals as specified in UTC's Strategic Plan.
