The Ames High School is looking for an Earth Science Teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. Anticipated Work Schedule

This position will work from Monday- Friday 7:40 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the 2018-2019 school year.

Responsibilities

Employs a variety of instructional techniques including, but not limited to, science exploration and inquiry using instructional media, consistent with physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.

Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities. Maintains science classroom chemical lab consistent with OSHA standards.

Required Qualifications

Certified Teacher with the 5-12 Earth Science endorsement.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Teacher with the 5-12 Chemistry and 5-12 Biological Sciences endorsements, in addition to the required endorsement.
