Professor of Practice - University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Applications are invited for a non-tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The successful candidate will be expected to teach multiple courses in atmospheric sciences, take a lead role in academic advising, participate in curricular development, and support recruiting and outreach activities within the department. In addition, a fraction of the appointment will be devoted to research and service (details subject to negotiation). The candidate should demonstrate strong potential for excellence in teaching and pedagogy and must hold a Ph.D. in meteorology, atmospheric sciences, or a related field at the time of appointment.

The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences offers B.S. degrees in Meteorology-Climatology and Geology, as well as M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. Research in atmospheric sciences focuses on meteorological hazards, climate change, and remote sensing. Additional information about the Department can be found at http://eas.unl.edu.
