Save The Date for a Framework and Next Generation Science Standards symposium

The National Research Council's Framework for K-12 Science Education is serving as the foundation for the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and notes that professional development, instruction and instructional materials will also need to reflect this foundation. In this half-day meeting, experts will describe model professional development and specific ways instruction and materials must change.

When: May 10, 2012, 8:30 am to 12 pm
Where: National Education Association (NEA), Washington, DC
Who: Brett Moulding (Framework Committee and NGSS Writing Team member), Brian Reiser (Framework Committee member), and Stephen Pruitt (Achieve's VP for Content, Research and Development)
Who should attend: People who want the most current information on changes in science education and their implications
