Are you interested in Earth's changing climate? Want to expand your knowledge? Become a NASA Earth Ambassador and join us for a FREE 2-day NASA Climate workshop followed by a Climate Day event!

Informal educators are invited to apply to the Earth Ambassador Program for NASA's Climate Day. The program will hold a two-day training workshop at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, in Greenbelt, Md., Oct. 13-14, 2011, with extended training on Oct. 15 for those not attending the ASTC (Association of Science - Technology Centers) Conference.

During the workshop, participants will interact with Earth scientists researching climate change within their expertise, learn effective ways of communicating global climate change with the public, and become familiar with online resources available to support their own events at their local institutions.

Round-trip transportation, and lodging and meal per diem for Oct. 12-14 or 15 will be covered depending on training attended.

Applications are due Aug. 21, 2011.
