Teachers across the country will be tuning in to watch this free Electronic Field Trip on May 18. You can register as a teacher to watch the broadcast for free with your students or as a broadcaster to carry this program for free at www.GrantRequest.com/SID_328?SA=SNA&FID=35018 (link may be down).

What will the EFT to Bryce Canyon National Park look like?

The EFT will focus on the park's unique geological and paleontological resources, which have been shaped by millions of years of water and temperature extremes. In this EFT, you will:

  • Hunt for signs of land and aquatic dinosaurs
  • Explore "Hoodoos" (unique limestone formations)
  • Meet some of the wild animals that live in this extreme environment
  • Learn about Bryce Canyon National Park's role in Utah's unparalleled suite of national parks

How do I participate?

Each EFT consists of a live broadcast and a companion website. You should plan to watch the broadcast in your classroom with your students. The companion website for the program will launch on April 12, about one month prior to the broadcast, at http://www.brycecanyoneft.org. When you register to participate in the program we will be able to send you an email reminder as soon as the website is launched. You can use the website in your classroom to help your students prepare for the live broadcast. The website contains five modules that have interactive games students can play online as well as related lesson plans for use in class. Teachers who use these resources to prepare for the show will get even better outcomes with their students.
