Society for Science and the Public announces 2009 Fellows

Raymond Nance of Carlsbad, NM, who teaches at Carlsbad High School, and is a member of the National Association of Geoscience Teachers, has been selected as one of ten Society for Science & the Public Fellows, in the inaugural 2009 Class of Fellows.

Raymond was selected from applicants from 36 states, for his vision to promote science in under-resourced communities. Raymond will be receiving a monetary award for the classroom, along with full support to attend the Fellows Institute in Washington, DC from July 27-31, 2009.
