2017 Project Kindle Fellowship from the Earthwatch Institute
published Jan 12, 2017 11:28amEarthwatch seeks highly motivated teachers who want to engage their students in hands-on scientific field expeditions and provides those teachers with resources to make that vision a reality. Awarded fellows will experience a funded expedition in the 2017 Summer with other Project Kindle Fellows. In addition to the typical activities and tasks on our science expeditions, there will also be workshops and trainings to prepare teachers on organizing their students to join an expedition. These resources include topics such as best practices for recruiting students, communication with parents, seeking scholarship funding for students, and overcoming additional obstacles. The ultimate goal is to then bring your students on an Earthwatch expedition in 2018 or 2019.
