Travel and Logistics

Lodging and the workshop will be held at the Nittany Lion Inn on the Penn State campus.

Workshop Registration at the Nittany Lion Inn

On Thursday, July 21, between 1:00 and 6:00 PM, all participants, regardless of lodging arrangements, should register for the workshop at the Nittany Lion Inn. Participants will sign in, pick up workshop materials, and return the completed Medical Emergency Health Form in a sealed envelope.

Lodging

The Nittany Lion Inn front desk is open 24 hours a day, and free parking is provided in the adjacent garage. Room check-in begins at 3:00 pm and check out is 12:00 pm. Participants staying at the Inn have reservations made in their names, and the "On the Cutting Edge" program will pay for your room and tax. At check-in you will be asked to provide a credit card in case incidental charges, such as telephone calls, are incurred. If you wish to use the high-speed internet service provided free of charge in the rooms, please bring an ethernet cable and plug it into the ethernet jack, not the dial-up phone jack, to avoid telephone charges.

Workshop Program and Schedule
The workshop program will begin with a dinner at 6:00 pm on Thursday evening, July 21 with optional workshops and other events to be held beforehand on Thursday afternoon. We strongly recommend that you do not schedule plane flights to arrive in State College later than 5:00 p.m. in order to allow time for travel from the airport and check-in at the workshop. The workshop officially concludes after dinner on Saturday, July 23 and we encourage participants stay for the optional workshops on Sunday morning, July 24 (9:00 am - noon).
