The Use of Role-playing Exercises in Teaching Undergraduate Astronomy and Science

This article describes several interactive role-plays intended to get students to work together to solve complext problems. Students can role-play scientists from various specialties, each armed with different starting data and encouraged to use a particular technique to approach problems. It took a variety of approaches to solve a given problem, requiring interdepence within groups.
