Field Observations and Interpretations Given New Emphasis

As the quantity of available knowledge has expanded, the teaching of processes has
become as important in undergraduate geology education as the teaching of facts. Reasons for modifying field trips to conform to this shift in focus are presented with a "schedule" of field observations to be used at outcrops.
