Geoscience Ambassador Kiara collaborated with the Elizabeth Hampton Lang Stuttering Center at UT Austin to share her journey into the geosciences with pre-college students who like her, are stutterers. She used ZOOM to connect with 70 high school students at Montclair High School, providing geoscience instruction to complement topics that the teacher had taught. She also shared her personal pathway map into the geosciences and spoke about her involvement with GeoLatinas. Kiara believes that it is important to show up and be a role model to others.
