National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education

This is the 2001 report on Professional Development School (PDS) Standards. PDSs are innovative institutions formed through partnerships between professional education programs and K–12 schools. Their mission is professional preparation of candidates, faculty development, inquiry directed at the improvement of practice, and enhanced student learning. PDS standards are intended to bring rigor to the concept of PDSs, so that their potential will not be lost. These standards are available as a PDF file download.
