Background Information

I teach economics at Baton Rouge Community College, Louisiana. Along with the usual principle-level classes I occasionally teach money and banking. I use cooperative learning along with interactive lectures in my classes. I am also interested in using context rich problems.

I received NISOD Excellence Award in 2009. The National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) is a consortium of over 700 community colleges and universities worldwide.

I earned my Ph.D. from the Ohio State University in 2003.

Related Pedagogical Projects

I have recently developed an introductory level course Economics of Globalization. I have created PowerPoint slides for James Miller's Principles of Economics. I have participated in various economics education workshops including Teaching Innovations Program in 2009.
